Hey, I'm Juliet - a designer and developer hoping to further my career in the front-end space.
I was born in Imo State, Nigeria and grew up in Lobatse, Botswana. Growing up, I had a unique perspective of the world - being Nigerian in a foreign land. I learned everyone has a story to tell, and it's important to be open to change and fresh ideas.
I found the love for designing and developing in my second year of University back in Russia. After personal struggles to fit in and belong, I joined a Russian church which had an African ministry. I became part of their media department, where I designed products and rendered some technical supports. I graduated from Tambov State University, with a honours degree in Applied Computer Science.
Currently, I'm a master's student at the University of Paderborn with specialisation in applied informatics, frontend development, content collaboration softwares and photo&video editing. I design new products and also build new websites. Recently I completed a one-year project that dealt with a VR/AR application which is used to program a real robot. I played the role of Configuration Manager (GIT) and I also played the role of representative project leader, which involves over seeing the application development process and making sure every detail is accurate.
Before joining Paderborn University, I wrote my Bachelor's thesis on an E-book for Russian children to learn English.
Outside of designing and developing, I like to travel and explore new places. I go swimming sometimes and my fun fact is that I can speak five Languages.
